not being well read...

On Kurt Vonnegut...

I will disclose to the great extent I consider myself to be NOT well-read, it is too bad that Vonnegut will no longer be here to write for us. I've read more than one of his books, I remember enjoying them. Suffice to say, he has been a favorite author... no matter how small the pool of competition.

Happy Easter

Had a vert nice Easter dinner enjoyed with Brian, Carol, Joe, Jan, Jerry, Patrick, and Alison. We finished off the meal with some excellent Boycville country pie - apple rasberry, or lemon meringue. All in all a relaxing day...

Open Season

The home course was opened up this weekend, and I'm off to a start with some stocking hat golf... with warming temps a week off yet.

Youth Exchange

One of the most enjoyable things I get to do is work on behalf of the Rotary Club youth exchange program. If you would be interested in hosting a student, or if you know of someone like my daughter Laurie, who would make a good out-bound exchange student, please don't hesitate to contact me. Some of you remember our German student Andi, who is just now returning from a great experience touring Australia. We've received a few postcards from him and it is so great to hear from him.

I've posted some information about our inbound students, the whole club is having a great experience with Ping, and we're looking forward to meeting Carol.
