The 4th of July, etc...

This weekend brought a good bit of warm weather for the holiday celebration. Patrick was pretty tired of grinding and providing mass quantities of burgers, brats and grilling meats. He did pick up some extra hours during the week leading up to the Friday holiday, but they got their money's worth, (demand on the meat department was peaking.)

I did some sailing on Friday morning, then went to the celebration at the park for some fair food and a few sets from the Cutaways and then home for watching fireworks with Mabel... she was definitely not impressed. Way to much booming noise. It was a long night for her.

Went up to Balsam Lake Sunday for a good long fishing day with Brian. We didn't land any big huge bass, but we were kept busy with a steady catching of medium and smaller ones. An altogether nice day on what was a very busy lake. Fun to see all the family gatherings and shenanigans.

Sent invitations to Patrick's party this week. Need to get on with finishing up the menu and other arrangements.
