I just learned that my friend Rick is riding his bicycle from the pacific to the atlantic. You can check this out at his blog, where he's reporting on his progress. The heat as they cross the desert is 125ish... whoa. Rick is on this adventure with 30 other riders, two others from Menomonie, including my doctor, Steve Brown. That's simply a notable coincidence, not because Rick necessarily needs a doctor, or because I need a doctor who rides a bike for a crazy long distance... wow... pedal on dudes...
