It was an unusual past couple of days when the white stuff covered the ground and gave us a little glimpse of things to come. I suppose it makes for good football weather in some ways. Alison is so enjoying the Vikings and Brett Favre getting off to a 5 win 0 losses start. My Steelers are trying to slog through a little world championship hang-over, but they're doing ok. The new running back is almost as much fun to watch as Adrian Peterson... Laurie was at the stadium in Iowa City for the Hawkeyes 2 point win over Michigan. We watched here in the comfort of our warm basement.
Brian and Carol were down on Sunday, had a nice short visit while Brian and I installed some badly needed shelving in Mom's closet. Also hung a few pictures, a tv and generally got the place ship shape. Mom is doing quite well around there (Menomonie Comforts of Home - Assisted Living), making new friends and participating in some activities. She was reportedly leading the hangman game earlier today.
